What is a FRIEND?
Essential Meaning of Friend
1: a person who you like and enjoy being with
2: a person who helps or supports someone or something (such as a cause or charity)
The mission of MCO FRIENDS is to support the Mother City Orchestra through fundraising events, memberships, sponsorships, gifts, volunteer work at concerts and to help with all other activities of the orchestra.
MCO FRIENDS is a non profit company and has also applied for Public Benefit Organisation status in terms of the Income Tax Act of South Africa. The Board operates independently from the Mother City Orchestra board.
MCO FRIENDS is in full compliance of all the aspects of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI) as it relates to the security of personal information of staff, contractors, sponsors and patrons and the security of names, email addresses and telephone numbers of donors, friends and newsletter subscribers.
Our data base is used to disseminate marketing material such as newsletters and production and performance information to all friends and sponsors who have shown an interest in the orchestra. They can opt out or update their preferences on the newsletter itself.
All information is for our own use and will not be given to or sold to third parties.
